This 5 days wildlife safari will take you through Queen Elizabeth National Park and Lake Mburo National Park.

Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for its wildlife, including African buffalo, Ugandan kob, hippopotamus, Nile crocodile, African bush elephant, African leopard, lion, and chimpanzee. It is home to 95 mammal species and over 500 bird species. The area around Ishasha in Rukungiri District is famous for its tree-climbing lions, whose males sport black manes.

Lake Mburo National Park is a compact gem, located conveniently close to the highway that connects Kampala to the parks of western Uganda. It is the smallest of Uganda’s savannah national parks and isunderlain by ancient Precambrian metamorphic rocks which date back more than 500 million years. It is home to 350 bird species as well as zebra, impala, eland, buffalo, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo, hyena, topi and reedbuck.

Tour Itinerary

Today your driver guide will transfer you to Queen Elizabeth national park which allows you an en-route stop over at the Equator for photographs and as well as to perform a simple experiment and experience a tropical balance before proceeding for Lunch. After lunch proceeds to Queen Elizabeth national park. On arrival at your lodge, you will relax for the rest of the day.

Early in the morning, you will go for a game drive to view the early risers and predators returning their hideout along Kasenyi tracks and Queens Mile. This dawn drive offers you an opportunity to see Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Defassa Waterbucks, spotted hyenas, Uganda Kobs, Topi, Bush bucks, and bird species.

After the game, drive return to the lodge for a late breakfast and relax till lunch and then after lunch, you will go for a 2 hours Launch cruise on the Kazinga channel into Lake Edward. This launch cruise will give you a great opportunity for photography, bird watching and game viewing at a close range. Return for an easy evening dinner and over night.

After early breakfast, depart to Kalinzu Forest for the chimpanzee trekking. Return to the lodge for lunch. Later in the afternoon, go for an evening game drive at the Ishaha sector which offers you a unique experience of seeing the Tree Climbing Lions and the Topi. Other wildlife includes; Bushbuck, Waterbuck, African Civet, Mongoose, Giant Forest Hog, and others. Return to your lodge for an overnight.

After Breakfast, drive to LMNP. The Park contains a variety of attractions; it is dominated by extensive wetlands, rolling grassy hills, seasonal and permanent swamps, wooden savannah, and forests, which harbor a variety of plants and animal species. You will enjoy a night game drive. At night there is a whole variety of animals that you would not see in the day including bush pigs, genet cats, and white-tailed mongoose to mention but a few.

You are likely to see eland & buffalo and nearly always warthog, topi, impala, duiker, bushbuck, waterbuck and zebra on the horseback safaris; it is a peaceful and relaxing activity.

After this exhilarating experience Relax have your lunch and head for Entebbe arriving in the evening for your flight back home.
