Tour Itinerary
On this day, you will rise in the early morning, have your breakfast at the hotel and meet our driver guide who will greet you, brief you about the journey and then set off for Kibale Forest National Park. You will use Fort Portal through Mubende town, you will have lunch en-route in Fort Portal and then embark on the journey. You will arrive in the evening hours, check-in the hotel relax, have dinner and overnight stay.
Arise in the morning, greet your stomach with a scrumptious breakfast and head to Kanyanchu the park’s headquarters and a briefing center. You will be guided about the trekking etiquettes and then head to the forest with a ranger guide. Trekking normally takes about 2 to 5 hours depending on the Chimpanzee movements, you will spend an hour watching these primates, take pictures and videos as you are receiving sweet melodies from the singing birds. You will return to the lodge, have lunch and transfer to Queen Elizabeth. You will arrive in the evening, check-in the lodge have dinner and overnight.
You will wake up in the early morning, have breakfast and go for the game drive in search of the Big 4 of the jungle and other animals when they are very active in the morning hours, you will meet herds of elephants, buffaloes, prides of lions and their cubs, you will spot kobs, antelopes, leopards, warthogs, mongoose. You will return to the lodge afterwards, have lunch and in the evening at 3 pm, you will go for boat cruise one of the best boat cruises in East Africa that has high concentration of birds, hippopotamus, buffaloes especially in these hours they will be on the shores. You will as well enjoy the sunset, get back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
You will wake up in the early morning, have breakfast and check-out of the lodge, you will pass via Ishasha sector where you will spot tree climbing lions, antelopes, buffaloes and elephants. Proceed with the journey, arrive in afternoon, check-in the lodge, have lunch and then go to visit the Batwa/Pygmy community. These were initially in the forest and they are known as the forest men, they will entertain you through dances, songs, they will make for you fire from the wood as well, tell you stories how they used to live. Retire to the lodge in the evening, have dinner and overnight.
Arise in the early morning, grab a cup of tea and head to the park headquarters for briefing about the trekking etiquettes, you will be allocated a gorilla family to trek and you will be guided by a ranger guide who will take you direct to the gorilla family. You will spend an hour in their presence, take pictures and videos, you will be listening to different birds in the trees chirping, you will later return to the lodge, have lunch, check-out of the lodge and embark on the journey to Lake Bunyonyi and this is one of the best relaxing place with coolest magical breath. You will do a boat cruise when you arrive, visit different Islands including the punishment Island. These Islands are a haven of birds, bushbucks, sitatungas waterbucks to mention but a few.
You will wake up, have a lazy breakfast and check-out of the lodge then transfer to Lake Mburo, you will have lunch en-route when you reach in Mbarara and then proceed to the park. Arrive at the lunchtime, check-in and go for boat cruise. You will enjoy the beautiful cruise as you come closer to the hippopotamuses, Nile crocodiles, and birds as you consume the beauty of the adjacent green forests. You will enjoy the sunset as well and later travel to the lodge for a comfortable overnight stay.
You will rise in the early morning and head to the bush to catch the animals when they are very active looking for food that will take them throughout the day. You will encounter herds of buffaloes, topis, oribis, klipspringers, Bogor reedbucks, mongoose, zebras, impalas, elands and bird watching since the park hosts over 359 bird species which include red faced barbet, yellow breasted apalis, green wood hoopoe, Ross’s turaco, among others. You will return to the lodge, check-out and embark on the journey to Kampala. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you have chance to stand in both hemispheres (Northern and Sothern), you will have lunch as well and proceed to Kampala. The driver guide will either drop you at the hotel or at the Airport depending on time of your flight.
