Tanzania is iconic for safari destinations with Serengeti National Park known for its savannah plains providing a backdrop for viewing wildlife and photography with a natural even of the Great migration and Ngorongoro conservation area as a natural wonder and a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the world’s largest intact Caldera as the best spots to visit. Tanzania’s biological diversity is high with 4 globally threatened species namely black rhinos, elephants, wild dogs and cheetahs with the largest unaltered animal migration and large predator-prey interactions in the world. Expect to see animals like lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos (white and black), leopards, cheetahs, wildebeests, gazelles, impalas, antelopes, kobs, waterbucks, forest hogs, topi, hartebeests, dik diks, kudus, servals, African civets: primates like mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys; birds like grey-crowned crane, shoebill storks, great blue turaco, green-breasted pitta, eagles, vultures, weavers, bustards, starlings, bushshrikes, barbets, bee-eaters, hornbills, kingfishers, augur buzzard, variable wheatear and sunbirds. The trip will start from Kampala through Bwindi and will end in Tanzania.

I believe you are excited and looking forward to getting the opportunity to encounter the majestic creatures in their natural habitat as you embark on this trip. You will meet at an agreed point with our representative from Glory Summit Hotel Tours and Travel and once all of you are settled in, he will brief you on how the next few days will move and you will set off for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and the journey will be about 8-9hours. You will have a stop over at the Equator mark for picture moments and check out the craft village, another stop will be in Mbarara for lunch before you proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and will reach in the evening. In time for dinner and then you will check into the hotel and retire for the day so you can rest enough and be ready for the next day.

You will wake up early and have breakfast and head to the briefing spot by 7:30am where you shall be given the guidelines and safety precautions to be followed by a guide to ensure a smooth trek before you head into the forest to experience it. Depending on the targeted Gorilla families given to you to trek, the trekking will take between 30minutes-6hours, it’s in this time that you shall get to see the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, how they live, care for each other, care for their young, how and when they eat, all this will be done with a guide and armed ranger on route with you. During the trek you will be given water and a snack for when you need it. When done with the trekking, you will go back to your lodge and freshen up then have lunch as you rest. After the lunch you will head out to the Batwa people for a cultural tour. With the help of a local guide, you will be involved in different community activities like music, dance and drama, crafting and honey harvesting. Story telling will also be key as a way to learn the Batwa people’s history and what makes them an interesting group people. You will the return to the hotel, have dinner and end the day with fire to exchange stories and wind down the day as you will.

A beautiful breakfast will start the day, after which you will check out and start on your journey back to Kampala. You will have a stopover at a hotel in Mbarara for lunch and the equator for some more pictures and check out the crafting village in the area. Then continue to Kampala, where you will reach in the evening and check into a lodging for the night, have dinner and end the day.

After breakfast, you will check out and head to the airport in Entebbe for your flight to Arusha in the morning at 7:30am. Your flight will take about 2hours, and once you touch down in Arusha, you will be picked from the airport in time for lunch, and after lunch you will set off for Ngorongoro conservation area which will take about 2-3hours. You will check into a lodging for the night. Later you will head out for a cultural Visit of the Masai people. Explore the rich cultural heritage of the Masai people, who inhabit the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Visitors can visit Masai villages, interact with the locals, learn about their traditional way of life, and participate in cultural activities such as dancing, singing, and traditional ceremonies. After the tour, you will head back to your lodging, freshen up and then have dinner after which you can retire at will.

After breakfast, you will head out for a full day’s activities in the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most iconic safari destinations in Africa. The Crater Rim Walk at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the stunning scenery and diverse ecosystems of the area on foot. The Crater Rim Walk provides breathtaking panoramic views of the Ngorongoro Crater and its surrounding landscapes. From the crater rim, you can enjoy sweeping vistas of the crater floor, the surrounding highlands, and the distant horizon. As you walk along the crater rim, you'll encounter a variety of habitats, including lush forests, grassy plains, and rocky outcrops. Keep an eye out for grazing antelopes, baboons, and other small mammals, as well as bird species like vultures, weavers, hornbills, kori bustards, martial eagles, olive sunbirds, bee-eaters and European roller. Once done with the walk, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a perfect spot for resting and taking pictures. Then enjoy an afternoon game drive as the crater is home to a high concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, leopards, flamingoes, zebras, wildebeests, baboons, jackals, hyenas and various antelope species and birds like  flamingos, eagles, storks, herons,. A game drive in the crater provides unparalleled opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography.

You will checkout of your lodging, have a well done breakfast then exit Ngorongoro for Serengeti which will take about 4-5hours. You will arrive in the afternoon, check into your lodging then have lunch. After resting you will head out for a community tour of the Masai people. With a local guide, you will learn about the rich cultural heritage of the Masai people, who inhabit areas surrounding the Serengeti. You can visit the Masai villages, interact with community members, and participate in cultural activities such as traditional dances, beadwork demonstrations, and storytelling sessions. Once done you will head back to your lodging in the evening, have dinner at rest at will.

Game drives are the primary activity in the Serengeti and offer visitors the chance to explore the vast savannah plains and spot a diverse array of wildlife. Experienced guides lead drives in open-top safari vehicles, taking visitors to prime viewing areas where they can see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests. So after the morning game drive, you will have lunch within the Serengeti. After lunch you will embark on another game drive with an opportunity to see any animals that you missed out during the morning like lions, buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes, kudus, dik dik, warthogs, gazelles and many more with birds like wheatears, weavers, African fish eagles, vultures, kori bustard, ostriches, lilac-breasted roller and hornbills. When done with all this thrill and wildlife viewing, you will head back to your lodging, have dinner and rest for the night.

After breakfast, you will check out of your lodging and have breakfast then exit the Serengeti for Arusha, the drive will take about 6-7hours. With the beautiful scenic views of both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, you will have a lunch stop along Ngorongoro. You will get to Arusha airport in the evening, in time to check in for your flight which will mark the end of your safari.
