On this eventful day, you will be picked by our professional driver guide who will brief you through this 4 days’ itinerary and immediately set off for your 6 to 7 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with stop-overs and a lunch en-route along the way. This will take you through districts of Mubende, Fort portal to Kasese as you enjoy scenic views of terraced tea estates, rolling hills and valleys which are all worthy capturing. Arrival at a pre-arranged lodge in Queen Elizabeth national park will be in the evening to check-in for your dinner and an overnight.
Wakeup early morning for your breakfast t, meet your driver guide and a game ranger to start on your game viewing through the park’s trails as you encounter the early risers of the wilderness in search for their food and nocturnals as they retire back to their hide outs. Along the trails you will have a close view of animals like Lions, Elephants, Warthogs, hippopotamuses, Buffaloes and many more with several bird species which are indeed fascinating to spot. Get back to the lodge for lunch and later set off for a magical boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. This is an exceptional experience as you will sail through classes of hippopotamuses, crocodiles, flocks of bird kinds with several animals quenching their thirst on the Kazinga waters. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight.
After your breakfast, meet your driver and depart for Lake Mburo National Park as you have your last glance at the Queen Elizabeth wildlife. This is a four and a half hours’ drive as you meander through areas of Ndeke, Ruhobo, Rutoma to Mbarara arriving in the afternoon to check-in at a reserved lodge for your lunch. After your lunch, proceed for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo where you spot eye catching flora and wildlife for example hippopotamuses, crocodiles, buffaloes, antelopes and many more and bird species like African fish eagle, Herons, Kingfishers, Cormorants, shoebill stork to mention but a few that are all compelling. You will return back to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.
Have your last safari breakfast and meet your park ranger and the driver to immediately start on your game viewing in Lake Mburo National Park. As you explore the savannah plains of Mburo, you will encounter various animal species for example Zebras, Impalas, hyenas, Elands, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Topis, Warthogs, Waterbucks, Duikers, Hippopotamuses to mention but a few with a variety of bird species that are all amazing and exciting. You will return back to the lodge for lunch and check-out to embark on your journey back to Kampala. Along the way, you will have some stop-overs for example at the Equator in Kayabwe where you will take photos, Royal drum makers village in Mpigi and proceed arriving in the evening to be dropped off at the airport or a hotel depending on the time of your flight.
