Tour Itinerary
We will pick you up from your hotel where you will meet your guide, chef, and other clients who are joining us too. We will drive to Tarangire National Park (2hr drive) famous for its diverse landscape.
We will do a game drive through the park depending on where they have reported sightings of animals (mostly predators, lions, cheetahs, and leopards as they are harder to spot). Later on, will go to the Tarangire River picnic site and enjoy the beautiful view of the river and animals while having lunch. After lunch, we will proceed with the game drive and exit the park around 4:30 pm where will head to our accommodation at Campsite for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, we will drive from our accommodation in Mto Wa Mbu to Serengeti National Park which takes 6 hours (includes all stops) as it transits through the Ngorongoro Crater.
Will briefly stop at the gate and viewpoint to look at the breathtaking view of the crater. Afterward, we'll head to the Serengeti National Park. We'll arrive in the late afternoon and do a game drive in Seronera (center of Serengeti) until the late evening where we will experience the spectacular Serengeti sunset. We will then head for overnight at our Seronera Campsite.
After an early breakfast, we will go on an early game drive to see a lot of animals. In the afternoon, we'll head back to our campsite for lunch before doing an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti. Once finished, we will make our way to the Simba Campsite (2hrs drive) where we will have dinner and spend the night near the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
After an early breakfast, we will descend into the crater on a journey to find the black rhino, as rhinos are the hardest to spot in the beautiful crater. Most animals are fairly easy to spot from this park due to it being a floor crater. After lunch, we will do a game drive and ascend the crater, and head towards the Campsite where we will have dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast, we will go to Lake Manyara National Park which is famous for its large number of flamingoes in the lake and its tree-climbing lions. We will embark on a game drive viewing plenty of animals and birds and visit the hippo pool for a close look at the hippos. You should expect to see buffaloes, wildebeest, warthogs, vultures, eagles, monkeys, and more here. Evening drive to Arusha for overnight
Today you will enjoy a day surrounding the famed Mount Kilimanjaro. Materuni is the home of the Chagga tribe and a great authentic tribal village lying just outside of Kilimanjaro National Park.
First, we will visit the waterfalls, which are around a 40-minute walk away. On the way, your guide will inform you about the culture of the Chagga, and village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking, and with some luck, you will also see the summit of Kilimanjaro. When you reach the waterfalls, you will see that they are more than 80 meters high. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim so don't forget your swimwear!
After having enjoyed the scenery, you will slowly return with your guide to Materuni village where you will experience a traditional Chagga lunch. You also will have the opportunity to taste the local banana beer which is not to be missed!
Next, the coffee experience awaits you. Here you will learn how coffee is cultivated, dried, roasted and further processed. You will also be invited to help with the grinding of the coffee, which is traditionally accompanied by Chagga songs and dances - a fun way to immerse yourself in the local culture.
After a tour, we'll drop you off back at your accommodation/airport depending on your flight time
