This 4 Days Bwindi Gorilla trekking Kasirimbi hike is an eventful trip that is always designed for people who are interested in hiking and track gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. Mountain Karisimbi is an extinct volcano found in Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda and it lies on the border with Democratic Republic of Congo with a height of 4,507 meters. Most of the travelers who visit Rwanda and do gorilla trekking in Uganda they consider the cheapo gorilla permit in Uganda which is $700 compared to Rwanda’s $1500. This trip will start and end in Rwanda.

Upon arrival, you will be picked by our driver guide who will brief you about the trip and transfer you to Volcanoes National Park a home to gorillas and golden monkeys however you will not be tracking the primates. You will visit the cleanest city Kigali, visit different local markets, visit Genocide Memorial Center and later embark on the journey to Volcanoes National park, arriving in the afternoon hours, and check-in to the lodge accommodation, have lunch and then visit the Gorilla Guardian Village normally known as Iby’wacu cultural village. This started a small place where the locals who were reformed from poaching could sell their crafts from but now it has grown and it is now an entertainment center where Rwanda’s cultural norms and traditions are presented. You will be entertained through dances, songs, ancient stories and then later retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Arise in the early morning for a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to Kinigi the Park’s headquarter where you will be briefed about the 2 days hiking, you will be allocated the ranger guides and the porters who will be helping you to carry your luggage, set for you campsites and to cook for you as well. You will join other trekkers, be provided with the hiking gears and the sleeping tents and by 10am, set off. You will spend a night before reaching the summit, where you will have your dinner and stay an overnight.
On this day, you will wake up so early by 5am, grab a cup of coffee and then embark on the hiking. You will hit the summit when the sun is rising, enjoy the magical view of Volcanoes National Park in your foothills and also the 7 Virunga volcanoes with a clear sight of Mountain Nyiragongo in Democratic Republic of Congo. You will be able to Rwenzori ranges, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national Park. After the jubilation at the summit, descend down where you started from, meet the driver guide who will take you to a hotel for lunch, take a nap and then embark on the journey to Bwindi which is about one hour. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will directly connect to the lodge accommodation for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
Arise in the early morning for a sumptuous breakfast and head to the park headquarters where you will be informed about the dos and don’ts of tracking, be assigned a gorilla family and then head to the thick forests with the ranger guide who will help you to locate the gorillas. Trekking will take you about 2-6 hours depending on how far the gorillas moved the previous night, you are always allowed to spend an hours in the presence of gorillas as you study their behaviors and taking multiple pictures and videos. You will later return to the lodge park headquarters where you will be rewarded a tracking certificate, proceed to the hotel for lunch and then be transferred back to Kigali for your flight back home or to other destinations and this marks the end of your safari. However this safari can be tailor made and extended to Uganda for wildlife viewing, white water rafting, chimpanzee trekking.
